So I have a serious question for you: how do you plan where to go for your honeymoon vacation? I know for me, we didn’t decide. It had been the tradition of the best men to seek out and find friends and family to pitch in for an all inclusive honeymoon. All we had to worry about was some food, drinks, and presents that we brought back home!
Honeymoons are partly determined by a budget and who is going to be springing for the special vacation, but the earlier you plant the seeds of where you want to go, the better. You need to decide if you want it to be fun, romantic and serene, or event-filled. Everyone’s tastes are different, so make sure you talk to your soon-to-be spouse about what their expectations are. If they are completely different from your own, then try to mix them– I have always said that for me and my husband, he keeps it fun, while I keep it interesting!
Write down with your fiance all the places you might want to go an why. Hopefully this is fun for both of you as you dream about the first vacation you take as a married couple. Next, write down some of the things you have already liked to do together: hiking, going to the beach, the nightlife, or just simple, quiet time together.
Take the time today to seek and find an all inclusive honeymoon that fits both of your tastes, and the expected budget for the honeymoon. Make sure what you choose is all inclusive, as when things have to be paid for individully, they usually do cost more money. And plan and book early to get the best honeymoon package deal.
